Tips Using Ice Cubes in Frozen Beverages

Ice cubes, more than any other ingredient, has the greatest influence on the texture and smoothness of frozen beverages, shakes and malts. For best results, let the ice cubes sit on the counter at room temperature for fifteen minutes before using. This softens the ice cube which will produce a creamier beverage. For thick and creamy frozen beverages, use smaller ice cubes. To make small ice cubes, just fill your ice cube tray half full.
