Bacon Clapshot

Clapshot is a traditional Scottish dish of mashed turnips and potatoes. Bacon and nutmeg give this flavorful, slightly spiced potato full flavor making it a perfect side dish for roasted meats and vegetables.

6 servings

2/3 pound turnips, peeled and cut into chunks
3 tablespoons butter or margarine
1/4 cup milk
