Michigan Bean Bake

Just let these go all day for a great-tasting baked bean side dish.

10 to 12 servings

Ingredients

1 (48 ounce) jar great northern beans, rinsed and drained
1 1/2 pounds lean pork, cut into 1-inch cubes
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 (14 ounce) bottle ketchup
3 tablespoons prepared mustard
1 1/2 cups packed brown sugar
1/4 large sweet onion, chopped

Directions

Preheat oven to 325°F (163°C). Combine all ingredients. Place in beanpot, casserole or 5-quart slow cooker.

Bake uncovered, for 5 to 6 hours; cover last hour. Or heat on LOW in slow cooker overnight.
