Creamy Maple Syrup

Serve this delicious syrup over French toast, pancakes or waffles.


1 1/2 cups syrup


3/4 cup granulated (white) sugar
1/2 cup evaporated milk
1/3 cup maple-flavored pancake syrup
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 tablespoons butter


Combine sugar, 1/2 cup evaporated milk, syrup and 1 teaspoon vanilla extract in small saucepan. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until sugar is dissolved. Remove from heat; stir in 2 tablespoons butter.

Refrigerate any leftover syrup.
