Frozen Horseradish Sauce

This recipe dates back to the 1920's. Serve it with roast beef, but it is also excellent with other beef dishes and sandwiches.


1 cup


1/2 cup prepared horseradish, drained
1 tablespoon granulated (white) sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup mayonnaise
1 cup heavy cream, whipped


In a medium bowl combine the drained horseradish with the sugar, salt and mayonnaise. Fold in the whipped heavy cream.

Freeze the mixture in a freezer-weight plastic container for at least 2 hours. Set out 15 minutes before serving.
