Breaded Pork Chops

A combination of baking mix and cracker coating makes these skillet-cooked chops delicious.


8 servings


1/2 cup baking mix (e.g. Original Bisquick®)
12 saltine crackers, crushed (1/2 cup)
1 teaspoon seasoned salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1 egg
2 tablespoons water
8 pork boneless loin chops, 1/2 inch thick (about 2 pounds)
4 teaspoons vegetable oil


In shallow dish, mix baking mix, cracker crumbs, seasoned salt and pepper. In another shallow dish, beat egg and water with a fork.

Dip pork into egg mixture, then coat with baking mix mixture.

In 12-inch nonstick skillet, heat oil over medium-high heat. Add pork; cook 8 to 10 minutes, turning once, until no longer pink in center.

Additional Information

For easy and mess-free coating, use tongs to dip and coat the pork chops.

All-purpose flour and be substituted for the baking mix and breadcrumbs can be substituted for the crushed crackers.
