Apricot Pineapple Ham

Tired of mixing up messy glazes to put on ham? Try this simple recipe. Young and old alike have complimented on the lovely, sweet and juicy ham.


10 to 14 servings


1/2 fully cooked bone-in ham (5 to 7 pounds)
1 (6 ounce) can pineapple juice
1 (10 ounce) jar pineapple preserves
1 (10 ounce) jar apricot preserves
2 (8 ounce) cans sliced pineapple, drained
1 (6 ounce) jar maraschino cherries with stems


Preheat oven to 325°F (163°C). Place ham on a rack in a roasting pan. Score the surface, making diamond shapes 1/2 inch deep. Pour pineapple juice over ham. Cover and bake for 1 1/4 hours.

Uncover; brush ham with preserves. Arrange pineapple slices and cherries on ham, securing with wooden toothpicks. Bake, uncovered, 25 to 30 minutes longer or until a meat thermometer reads 140°F (60°C) and then ham is heated through. Discard toothpicks.
