Marshmallow Buttercream Frosting

Marshmallows are the sweet secret to this buttercream frosting. Use to top cakes, cupcakes or cookies. Try it with Red Velvet Cupcakes.

Yield

about 3 cups (enough for 24 cupcakes or one cake)

Ingredients

1 (7 to 7 1/2 ounce) jar marshmallow creme
1 cup butter or margarine, room temperature
2 cups confectioners' (powdered) sugar

Directions

Remove lid and foil seal from jar of marshmallow creme. Microwave on HIGH 15 to 20 seconds to soften. In large bowl, beat marshmallow creme and 1 cup butter with electric mixer on medium speed until smooth. Beat in powdered sugar until smooth.
