Maple Cream Cheese Icing II
This traditional, delicious cream cheese frosting has a maple syrup twist. This yielded enough to fill and lightly frost a 12 inch square cake.
Yield
3 cups
Ingredients
11 ounces (1 8-ounce plus 1 3-ounce package) cream cheese, room temperature
2/3 cup butter, room temperature
4 cups confectioners (powdered) sugar
1/4 cup maple syrup
Directions
In a large bowl, beat the cream cheese and butter together until well combined. Gradually add the powdered sugar and maple syrup and beat until smooth.
Storage
Store in refrigerator until needed.
