Philadelphia Apple Crumble

Cream cheese and vanilla wafers combine to make a delightfully crumbly crust for this baked apple favorite.

1 (8 ounce) tub PHILADELPHIA Honey Nut Flavor Cream Cheese Spread
64 NILLA Wafers, crushed (about 2 2/3 cups)
8 small apples (2 pounds), peeled, chopped
1/4 cup granulated (white) sugar
4 teaspoons ground cinnamon


Preheat oven to 400°F (204°C). Grease a 1 1/2-quart casserole dish with Pan Release or baking spray with flour.

Mix cream cheese spread and wafer crumbs with fork until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. (Do not overmix.)

Toss apples with sugar and cinnamon. Spoon into prepared casserole dish; sprinkle with crumb mixture.

Bake for 15 to 20 minutes or until topping is lightly browned and apples are tender. Serve warm. Top each serving with 2 tablespoons. thawed whipped topping, if desired.
