Apple Cranberry Crumble II

This delicious dessert is made with apples, cranberries a touch of orange and an oat crumble topping.

4 cups 1/2-inch slices peeled apples (about 4 medium)
1 cup fresh or frozen cranberries
1 teaspoon grated orange peel
1/2 cup granulated (white) sugar
3/4 cup old-fashioned oats
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 cup butter or margarine, room temperature
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon


Preheat oven to 375°F (191°C).

In a large bowl, toss apples, cranberries, orange peel and granulated sugar.

Mix remaining ingredients in medium bowl until crumbly. Press 1 cup of the oat mixture in ungreased 8-inch square baking dish. Spread apple mixture over top. Sprinkle with remaining oat mixture.

Bake for 40 to 45 minutes or until golden brown and apple mixture is bubbly around edges. Cool 30 minutes. Serve warm.
