Oatmeal Chip Cookies
I made this recipe just before we showed our house. Not only did the people buy the house, but they requested the recipe.
1 cup butter, room temperature
1 cup granulated (white) sugar
1 cup packed brown sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 cups old-fashioned oats
2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
Preheat the oven to 350°F (177°C). Generously grease baking sheet with cooking spray or line baking sheet with parchment paper or silicone baking mat.
In a large mixing bowl, cream the butter, sugar and brown sugar. Beat in eggs and vanilla. Combine the flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt; add to creamed mixture. Stir in oats and chocolate chips. Drop by rounded tablespoonfuls 2 inches apart onto ungreased baking sheets.
Bake for 11 to 12 minutes. Cool on wire cooling racks.
