Layered Cookie Bars


3 dozen


3/4 cup (1 1/2 sticks) butter or margarine
1 3/4 cups vanilla wafer crumbs (about 50 wafers, crushed)
6 tablespoons Hershey's Cocoa
1/4 cup granulated (white) sugar
1 (14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk (not evaporated milk)
1 cup Hershey's Special Dark Chocolate Chips or Hershey's Semi-Sweet
Chocolate Chips
3/4 cup Heath Bits 'O Brickle Toffee Bits
1 cup chopped walnuts


Preheat the oven to 350°F (177°C). Melt butter in 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking pan in the preheated oven. Combine crumbs, cocoa and sugar; sprinkle over butter.

Pour sweetened condensed milk evenly on top of crumb mixture. Top with chocolate chips and toffee bits, then nuts; press down firmly.

Bake for 25 to 30 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool completely in pan on wire cooling rack. Chill, if desired. Cut into bars.


Store covered at room temperature.
