Cherry Cream Brownie Filling
1 package (3 ounce) cream cheese, room temperature
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/4 teaspoon almond extract
1/3 cup maraschino cherries, chopped, well drained
1 to 2 drops red food color (optional)
In a small bowl, beat cream cheese and sugar on medium speed of mixer until blended. Add egg, vanilla and almond extract. Beat well. (Mixture will be thin.) Stir in cherries and food color, if desired. Cover 1/2 of brownie batter with filling or swirl into brownie batter using a knife. Bake as directed in brownie recipe.
