Butter Rum Filling
This delicious filling is perfect for adding a special touch to your favorite cookies. Try this filling on Eggnog Thumbprints.
enough for 4 dozen cookies
1/4 cup butter or margarine, room temperature
1 cup confectioners' (powdered) sugar
1/4 teaspoon rum extract
1 to 2 teaspoons milk
1 to 2 drops yellow food coloring, optional
Combine the butter, powdered sugar, extract and enough milk to achieve a spreading consistency. Tint with food coloring if desired. Pipe about 1/2 teaspoon into each cookie.
