Banana Berry Nut Bread

The berries complement the banana and nut flavors in this delicious bread.

1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
2 eggs
1 cup granulated (white) sugar
1/4 cup vegetable oil
3/4 cup mashed fresh strawberries
1/2 cup mashed ripe banana
1/2 cup chopped walnuts


Preheat oven to 350°F (177°C). Grease a 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pan with Pan Release or cooking spray.

In a bowl, combine the first five ingredients. In another bowl, beat eggs, sugar and oil until smooth; add the strawberries and banana. Stir into the dry ingredients just until moistened. Fold in walnuts. Pour into prepared loaf pan.

Bake in the preheated oven for 60 to 65 minutes or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean. Cool for 10 minutes before removing from pan to a wire cooling rack.
