Tender Yeast Pizza Crust

This tender yeast crust reaches perfection when baked on a pizza stone. No need to partially bake it before topping with your favorite pizza ingredients.

Ingredients

1 cup warm water (110°F to 115°F/43°C to 46°C)
1 tablespoon granulated (white) sugar
2 1/4 teaspoons active dry yeast
3 tablespoons olive oil
1 teaspoon salt
2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

Directions

Preheat oven to 425°F (218°C).

Stir water, sugar and yeast together until dissolved. Add the olive oil and the salt. Stir in the flour until well blended. Let dough rest for 10 minutes.

Pat dough into pan or on to a pizza stone using fingers dipped in olive oil. If desired sprinkle basil, thyme or other seasonings on crust. Top with your favorite pizza toppings.

Bake in the preheated oven for 15 to 20 minutes.
