Chocolate Almond Coffee

A mixture of chocolate, almond, half-and-half, and brewed coffee are topped off with whipped topping.

Yield

4 servings (about 1 cup each)

Ingredients

1/4 cup ground coffee, any variety
2 tablespoons granulated (white) sugar
1/4 teaspoon almond extract
2 1/2 cups cold water
2 squares BAKER'S Semi-Sweet Chocolate, chopped
1 cup half-and-half
1/2 cup thawed COOL WHIP whipped topping

Directions

Place coffee in filter in brew basket of coffee maker. Place sugar and extract in empty coffee pot. Add cold water to coffee maker; brew.

Microwave chocolate and half-and-half in medium microwaveable bowl on HIGH 1 to 1 1/2 minutes or until chocolate is completely melted, stirring after 1 minutes. Add to coffee; stir until well blended.

Serve topped with whipped cream.

Prepare as directed; refrigerate until chilled. Serve as a cold beverage, beating with whisk just before serving, if desired.
