Caramel Chocolate Chip Bars
2 dozen bars
1 package Duncan Hines® Moist Deluxe® Caramel Cake Mix
2 large eggs
1/4 cup water
1/4 cup firmly packed light brown sugar
1/4 cup butter or margarine, room temperature
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
Preheat oven to 375°F (191°C). Grease a 13 x 9-inch baking pan with cooking spray.
In a large bowl, combine cake mix, eggs, water, brown sugar and butter. Stir until thoroughly blended. Mixture will be thick. Stir in chocolate chips. Spread into greased pan.
Bake for 24 to 27 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool completely in pan. Cut into bars.
Bars are especially good when frosted with Duncan Hines® Creamy Home-Style Caramel Flavor or Chocolate Frosting. Sprinkle with brickle chips or chopped nuts, if desired.
