Pimento Cheese Spread II

A zippy spread-in-a-jar that is good with crackers, for stuffing celery, or as a spread in finger sandwiches.

4 cups (32 servings)

1 (4 ounce) jar chopped pimento peppers
1 pound shredded Cheddar cheese
1 onion, grated
1 pinch garlic powder
1 dash Worcestershire sauce
ground black pepper to taste
1 tablespoon mayonnaise

In a medium bowl, mash the pimentos using a fork. Mix in cheese, onion, Worcestershire sauce, and mayonnaise. Season to taste with garlic powder and black pepper. Spoon mixture into a container large enough to hold the pimento spread.

Store in the refrigerator.
